Van Mali

On the occasion of Van Mahotsav GreenLine Bring you a gardening workshop .

A session to nurture the gardener within us with the respect and perseverance that nature deserves.

Workshop Summary:

This session aimed to educate people about gardening & importance of urban green spaces around us. To make them aware how the urban green spaces can be a key to compact climate change and to do our part of climate action. The session will introduce people to Indoor Air Quality & how it is important to have indoor plants in our green space around us.

Introducing them to the concept of phytoremediation, which is the process by which any plant can reduce pollutants in the air, soil, or water. That's reason enough to keep a few healthy plants around the house.

Explaining benefits like NASA studies show that plant-filled rooms have 50 to 60 percent fewer airborne molds and bacteria than non-plant-filled rooms. And a cleaner environment is just the beginning. Taking them through the steps of gardening, from potting to fertilization.

The session concluded by giving them a plant to care for and to explore the gardener in them by oathing to nurture it as much as possible.

Event was a huge success because of people's participation & willingness to perform & learn about gardening as much as possible. The hands-on workshop added a length of value to the session from sunlight to propagation. Many things were covered & explained during the session.

Also a list of indoor plants according to different window sills were provided with respect to each plant's sunlight & water needs.

The astonishing response from people really made the session special & full of joy.
