21 Nature Club students along with two teachers got together to make ropes from cotton bags in August 2022. The teachers led the students in this best-out-of-waste activity by teaching them how to make use of old cotton bags or clothes at home to create useful items like rope. The teachers carefully guided the enthusiastic students in a step-by-step manner to ensure everyone had a good time and created handy ropes. Each student prepared at least two ropes while at school and were asked to carry out making more ropes when at home with other old clothes lying around. They were also encouraged by their teachers to use their hand-made ropes to tie the eco-bricks previously made by the students, or they could make mats out of the ropes by tying them together. Overall, this activity was a fun way of learning how to reduce household textile waste.
